Application:
RELEASEMATERIAL: Used alone as part of a compounded formula,DY-201 Fluid provides a non-carbonising mould release for rubber, plastics, metal die castings.
FOAMPREVENTITIVE: Extremely small amounts of the fluid effectively control foam in many processing operations, especially innon-aqueous systems.
MECHANICALFLUID:Excellentviscosity-temperatureacteristics,thermalchemical stability, shear-breakdown resistance, compressibility, rubber compatibility make DY-201 Fluid outstanding for mechanical/hydraulic uses. Typical uses include hydrolic stabilisers, damping media,heat transfer fluid etc.
SURFACE-ACTIVE MATERIAL: Added to vinyl plastisols,DY-201 Fluid improves the flowacteristics, de-aerates lubricatesthe surface of the completed part.
LUBRICANT: The fluid provides excellent lubrication fmost plastic elastomeric surfaces. Lubricity with metals depends upon thecombination involved. Care should betaken to suitable metals fpumps other itemswith moving parts.
COSMETICS SKIN PREPARATIONS: DY-201 Fluid is an important ingredient in hcreams, skin protectants,suntan lotions, hair grooming aids because itforms a non-greasy, protective film which resists waterwaterborne irritants, yet allows the skin to breathe. Literature is available that details the use of the fluid in cosmetics.
POLISHES CHEMICAL SPECIALITIES: DY-201 Fluid is used in most automobilefurniture polishes fits ease of application,high gloss with minimum rubbing,a durable water-repellant film. It is also usedin many other speciality formulations, including aerosol starches fabric conditioners. Additional literature is available.
